Enjoy It While It Lasts

It’s difficult for my little dachsie brain to comprehend that summer is almost over, and yet I’m capable of using words like: difficult, comprehend and capable. Crazy, huh?!

The chipmunks are working overtime in the backyard gathering up birdseed for the long winter that awaits them. Every time I go outside I get dizzy ‘cause they scatter willy-nilly when they see me and I end up spinning in circles.

Momma gave me a haircut yesterday and I must say, I’m looking more beautiful than ever! Momma says, I always look and act like a puppy after I’ve been clipped. I guess it makes me feel special ‘cause everyone oohs and aahs over me.

At the moment I’m sitting in the “Big Blue Chair” watching the world go by. As many of you know it’s one of my favoritist past times. It’s very gloomy today. We haven’t had many gloomy, soggy days this summer. As far as I’m concerned this has been one of the bestest summers ever! Sunshine does a body good, especially when you live in Minnesota and the winters are soooooooo long.

I think I feel a nap coming on so I better go before it hits.

FINALLY it's all done!

Whew! I worked my little paws done to the nubbins but I finally got all the changes I wanted to make done! This bloggin' stuff is hard work when you're a little dachsie. Of course, the missing opposable thumbs is really a big pain in the butt. Actually, I do a lot of typing with my nose, but I go cross-eyed and Momma says she's afraid they'll stick like that. Well, until I grow thumbs I don't have many other choices, now do I?
I hope you'll all take a little time to check out the contents on the right-hand side. There's lots of info there about me and what I do in my spare time.

Now I can get back to some serious DE-STUFFING!

My Little Paws Are Tired

Momma's a 'Puter Hog!

Now, I ask you, how am I supposed to keep you all up-to-date on my life when Momma's on the 'puter 24/7? She says, she's on the 'puter so much 'cause she's working on pages for my blog. Yeah, right! I'll believe that when I see it. No really, I guess she is making pages to attach to Dachshund Diaries that will give you some insight into what makes me tick. There will also be pages about the love of my life Rusty and all of my friends. It's been very, very hot here in MN, so I haven't got much chipmunk hunting done 'cause Momma's always yelling at me to come in and cool off. Do any of you have this sort of problem with your mommas telling you what to do all the time? I'd like to know if it's just my momma or all mommas.
There are barbecued ribs on the grill right now and I can't stand it. I love anything that's cooked on the grill. Well, lets be honest, I love all food grilled or not. If there's one thing Momma is good at it's sharing her food with me!
